Kim Champley

Kim's interest in education began eight years ago, when she started her own tutoring business as a sophomore in high school. She tutored middle school students in math, Spanish and English and found it extremely rewarding to share her knowledge with others and get them excited about learning.

Prior to her employment with GlobalScholar, she worked as a journalist and editor for various independent papers and magazines within Skagit County. Kim graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in journalism and environmental science and has completed a certification in GIS as well.

Brendan Murphy

Brendan has been a teacher for the past six years and has five summers experience in summer camp. He has a Master's degree in Education from Northwestern University (ranked 6th in the United States last year) and around 20 graduate hours in graduate education focusing on methods of teaching and gifted education. He has taught in schools in major cities, suburbs, and rural towns. He has been in every classroom from kindergarten to high school either as a teacher or as a student teacher.
